Moet & Chandon has never been absent from the glorious monents and off the spotlight in  gilded vanity fair for more than a century. 2019 is the year for celebrating the birth of the Imperial!!!



1869, the very first bottle of natural Brut Imperial was born in the cellar of Moet HQ in Champaign reign in France.
From then on, this brand has embarked on the innovative journey of crossing the oceans, landing on foreign terretories, thus making itself the world renowned champainpgn brand to witness those most memorable amd historical moments.

On this memorable moment of the 150th anniversary of this legendary brand, let's go through its past road to see how these little sparkling bubbles make themselves shine.

The legend started in the year 1869. It could not be achieved without the innovative spirits to meet the challenges and opportunities possessed by the generations of Moet family.

Till the late 1800s, wine lovers still preferred the sweetness in sprinkle wine. The Moet, which started in 1743, had established its name among French and even wine lovers cross the oceans.

The historic moment occurred in the year 1869. The Moet family found the trend towards less sweetness Champaign with more natural flavour. The decision of switch the focus towards the new flavour, the natural flavour, was rewarded by its success.

In 1801, the grandson of the Moet creator Jean-Remy Moet got acquaintence with then future French King Napolean Bonaparte, thus ushering Moet's royal journey. The Queen Josephine was the ultimate KOL of this brand.

1893, Moet had become the supplier for British Royal society(Queen Victoria).
Shortly later, on the Paris Expo 1900, Moet officially claimed its position on the international stage.

1930, Robert-Jean de Vogue joined in and expended the brand's occupancy in almost every high-end celebration worldwide.

Moet had its moment in the opening ceremony of Studio 54 in Manhattan in 1977, which opened the door for its presence in the entertainment industry and adored by those film stars and fashion icons such as Woody Allen, Jerry Hall, David Bowie, Lauren Bacall, Diana Vreeland, Andy Warhol, etc.

The memorable moments went on:
1984, 78 Club in Paris, Catherine Deneuve pooled More into the glass;
On the 40th Birthday party of Paul Newman;
2006, on the 120th anniversary celebration of Lady Liberty in New York;
And numerous anniversaries, parties, celebrations~~~

Moet's presence is not limited to those off-screen moments. It goes on-screen too.
The Golden Globe awards, the "Toast For a Cause" charity event, Canna Film Festival, etc.
In the films as Pretty Woman, The Devil Wears Prada, The Great Gatsby, etc.


And how can Moet be absent from the sports arenas!
Those F1 stars such as Tazio Nuvolari, Jackie Steward, Dan Burney.
Tennis star Roger Federer.
And those achieved sports players.

There is the place called "Champaign" in NorthEastern France where is the birthplace of this kind of sparkle drink.
The 1200 hectare grape plantation, bestowed by sufficient sunshine, is divided into two parts: 50% of it is attributed to Grands Crus, 25% to Premiers Crus.
The grape sauce are not only limited to its own plantation but also from nearby village grape plantations as well. Only the highest quality ones can be imported.

According to Benoit Gouez, the current winemaker or brewer, who joined Moet in 1995 and became the head brewer in 2005, the distinguish flavour of Moet is contributed to the century-old brewery processes and perfection-seeking details.
The Imperial is composed of two-thirds of Pinot Noir and Meunier and one-third of Chardonnay.
